Buffer powder containing 4-Morpholinepropanesulfonic acid (MOPS), Sodium hydroxide, and EDTA disodium salt
MOPS is a zwitterionic buffer ideally suited for RNA electrophoresis in agarose gels. The 6.5 – 7.9 buffering range works exceptionally well in formaldehyde gels at a concentration of 20 nM. DEPC is added to ensure the buffer is nuclease contamination-free. Use sterile water to dilute 10 X solution.
